Default Alpine iDA-X100

Will an Alpine iDA-X100 fit and allow me to close the radio door? I've seen posts for the X001, but not the X100.

If you had the choice between an Alpine 9886 and iDA-X100, which would you get? Price is not a factor and obviously the X100 does not have a CD Player. I am just having a hard time deciding...

I've got the X001 and no door clearance problems. Other than some slight button position changes the X100 is the same shape so shouldn't be an issue, IMO.

Oh, and I don't miss CDs at all.

I have an x100 and it closes just fine. I chose the x100 because I feel that im done with juggling cd's.

Mine closes with no problem. Even if you are worried about it, you can always remove the face then close the door. I am in Love with this deck...My stock speakers even came to life!

How is the navigation of presets and satellite radio tuning on the IDA decks? I've read reviews that it's a pain. Any insight?

I have x001. Navigating to presets of FM and XM channels is a PITA unless you have the numeric remote. With the remote you can just press a number (1 through 6) to select the preset. Other than that, it is a great deck. I haven't even delved into using my USB thumb drive yet, but I am sure it will be sweet as well.
