It works flawlessly as long as you don't use the dimmer feature on the X100.

If you turn that feature on, then your dash controls are likely to stop working when you turn on your headlights.

 

How can i turn off the dimmer feature?

 

It's in the display options menu on the unit. I'd have to go look at mine to see exactly where, but it's not hard to find.

Any pictures of this installed? I'd like to see how the unit look inthe cabin....also any pics ideas of a CLEAN way to have the ipod with no wire showing?

So if I use the x100 should I go ahead and get the modifry harness before I take the player to the installer? Should I go plug and play or wire in? Whats the difference.

Any of you with the issues of the X100 not turning off the IPOD when the car is off, thus having a dead battery ipod?

 

I wanted the 9886 for CD's but I have yet to play a CD with it. It might come in handy on a road trip with the SO since I'm not ripping her music to my iPod.

i have the X100 and when best buy installed it i had more static than i did with my stock HU. could it be because the installer didnt wire the power wire (blue wire) for the antenna?
