there were some reports of people on here using it fine, so I'm not sure why Bob said it won't work.. I'd say try searching but the search here is horrible

I've had no problems with the KTP-445, my CDA-9886 and Modifry DCI.

How are you enjoying the sound quality of your setup?

Well its better then stock. But the stock speakers begin to distort around 21-22 in volume. Sound like the driver is being moved too much. So I bought a pr of 6501 hopefully install this wk end

Hopefully that will suffice for top down Highway driving

I should add that if the windows are up with the top down, the extra reflections make it acceptable with the stock speakers. For speeds around town up to about 55-60, windows down its OK too.

Top up and its more than OK.

speakers installed id say to my untrained ear that with this setup the stock speakers are a 5, and the 6501 are a 7. Plus they can be played louder before distortion kicks in which is a plus top down 80mph.

Lets see... total

125 for the kpt-445 (best buy)
150 for the cda-105 (crutchfield)
115 for modifry wired dci and pnp harness
122 for the 6501s (amzn)

That's only ~512 + time.

I'm calling the sound good enough, good jump from stock, and the price pretty good.

Where did you put the KTP-445? It doesn't seem like there's any extra space around the head unit.

Same question... Where did you install the unit? Is there room behind the passenger dashboard??
