its either CDA-9887 or iDA-X305....the only thing with the iDA-X305 it has some issues like with the door hitting the tagging button

dude...do not get those speakers I have the older version and they have to mid's I've heard others say the same about the new ones. They are great sounding except you just have way too much highs. I have a high end head unit and even with all the conifguration options on that and my amp I still can't rid of the crazy highs.....I've even heard people with the x series downgrading to the r's and liking them more....save your money and look around for something else.

IDA-x305, is not that good because to have the ability to tune it you have to send $$$ to get the Imprint. My opinion its not worth it. Kevin, Do you like the CDA-9855 ?

IDA-X305 is the best if you're looking for an excellent ipod/iphone interface. A CDA-9887 has the imprint function already built in, so you'd only have to buy an imprint kit to tune it. Also, the stereo cover will not hit any of the buttons if you install it properly... I can't remember the details but I think you just reuse the factory bracket instead of using the one provided by Alpine (?)
