Dual 4-ohm means it has two voice coils, each of which is 4-ohm. It can be wired up
either in series, in which case the impedance seen by the amp is 8 ohms, or in parallel,
in which case the impedance is 2 ohms.
Amps with unregulated power supplies (which is most of them) will produce more power
into a lower impedance than a higher one, so you would likely want to wire it in
parallel for a 2-ohm load. But that means you need to find an amp which is capable
of driving a 2-ohm load. Most amps can do so unbridged, but relatively few can when
bridged. If you stick to a mono sub amp you'll likely be fine, but you need to read
the specs carefully if your plan is to bridge a two-channel amp.
