Just a couple simple questions. How many amps can be hooked up to the stock deck without interferance problems. My setup will include 2 X 160a2's one for the rear subs 2 X 8w3's in a fiber box built into the tool cavity. One to run the front door speakers. I also wil be running two 5's in the rear panels with powered remote tweets with a PMI 4400. Everything will be as hidden as possible, with little difference from stock if possible, So I would like to use the stock head unit..

Question two. I know the car is set up to take a honda 6 disk changer. Is the 2001 head unit a 21 pin or 9 pin setup as I have two spare 9 pins.

 

Depends on the amp. you use. I am not familar with the amps that you listed so I will layout some options.

1 - Your amp takes line level in - Get Lucids rear speaker harness and run the front outputs to one amp, rear outputs to the other amp.

2 - Your amp takes Pre amp levels only - You will need a device to change from Line Level to Pre amp. level, I think Lucid sells these also (Lucid please confirm). These are fairly high impedence devices, so you can run multiple amps off a single Line level output from your amp. You will need one level converter for each amp. Just connect them in parallel with each other. Like this:



Do the same for the left side.

Thanks I normally just throw money at my installer and let him figure it out but this time I am going to try and be informed about it.

 

Wells it is going to the installer on saterday. Going to put in two mb quart pro series in the door. Run those off my 160a2. Installing the cd player myself on sunday. Runnning two 8w3 in a custom fiberglass box running on a 250a2. I can't wait. I heard the infinities as well as 0.5 pro bostens and well I just did not like them.
