So I got this in and installed it. I have all the dash buttons working but I don't recommend my route unless you have a spare dash control.
I disassembled the controls, desoldered everything control related and added my own resistors to each button including the mute. No more latching 12v, it's now just another resistance like the rest.
The display could stand to be lower and tilted like the guy who used the phone magnets. I suck at CAD but I'ma try to make something. I'm more old school shape it out of abs.

Since I have the JY-HOS01N4GS-2 -- I have the Android 8.0 Version. If you have the JY-HQ version it's Android 10.0, and you can keep updating the firmware. Another update came out this month if you are interested.
If I ever want to go past Android 8.0 I have to buy the newer model. One day I will, but Its not a priority at the moment. I'll try to get another year or so out of my current one.
I have it in the top left of the windshield, tucked into the corner there to protect from wind.
When I updated my firmware, the map software that came with the radio disappeared. Not a big loss since it was inferior to Google Maps anyway. However it seemed to be the only thing that used the Joying's built-in GPS. Does that GPS hardware/antenna have any other use? I can't get Google Maps to use it, Google uses my data connection.
