Default Anyone Install a Viper Alarm Themselves?

I have put in alarms before but the S2000 has a keyless entry module that functions by what many call "5 wire" door locks. I have concluded through research the DEI 451M unit is needed for install. It is essentially 2 SPDT relays wired for 5 wire systems in one unit. Has anyone installed one of these? My assumption from looking at the factory s2000 wiring diagram, is that i will have to cut the wires in order to have the lock/unlock function on my new viper alarm.

Experienced installers advice only please

DId you read my post? This is not a typical alarm install. I agree a 2000 civic is very simple because the door lock system is simple. This is what you have to wire up in order for the doors to lock and unlock.

Not to mention also having to wire a relay for the trunk pop to reverse the polarity. (alarm signal is - and the trunk pop solenoid works off + signal)

Again, only experienced installers advice please

If your lucky your S2000 will have a keyless module inside the dash directly behind the Start Button. you can ID it by clicking lock/unlock on your OEM remote. You'll hear/feel it click.

You will find two empty slots on the plug going into that box. Fish a wire in and tap it to ground. You doors will either lock or unlock. When you got which one is lock/unlock. Stick the wires in and secure them so they dont move. BAM. easy lock/unlock on the S2000.

I am familiar with the keyless module, and I have the colors for the unlock - unlock + lock - lock+ wires. You said to fish a wire into the module and tap it to ground. Just the viper - trigger wire? Can you be more descriptive? Thank you for the advice, finally someone! Ive seen two methods done, 1 solder the wires from the viper to the keyless board 2. install a 5 wire relay system to lock unlock the doors. Our door actuators work off constant polarity which is switched from neg to positive when lock and unlocked.

You do not need DEI451M for s2000, just solder the (Door Lock, 3-pin Connector) on the Keyless Module PCB like in the picture.

Sweet thanks! After scowering the internet for a couple more hours, it appears there are two empty pin slots on the connector to the keyless module. I unplugged the connector and there are two male pins behind them. I read 2 testimonies where it worked. I might do that instead of taking the module apart.

Ah neat! I didnt know you could tap directly to the circuit board. I am glad I could help and you were able to figure it out, and sorry I coulnt give more details. Next time I do an alarm install i'll take a pic while i am in there.
