Default Anyone use the Beltronics Vector 940?

I've never had a radar detector before but definitely want one. I've heard the arguments for the V1; actually my father-in-law has one and i've seen it in action, but realistically you're dealing with a marginally revised 11+ year old design. Don't get me wrong, it's impressive, but ... if i'm going to spend $400 on a detector, then ideally I'd like the Beltronics STi Driver, but i'm not ready to drop $450 on a detector quite yet. The Vector 940 seems like a good value. Any input?

940 is a very good RD. If you wanna go for it, you certainly won't regret it.

The STi is great for pure stealth.

Myself, I run the 8500 x50.

I have the 995 which is the same pretty much. It's great but just a little sensitive. It gets the job done. I got mine for 200 at CircuitCity.

I have a V1, and I don't plan on switching anytime soon.
