Audio controls on dash
My audio controls on the dash (with the Start button) are shorting something somewhere, and when plugged in, the radio sometmes comes on, sometimes doesn't, sometimes comes on while driving, etc.
I took it to an audio place who just unplugged the controls for me as they weren't sure how to fix it. After that everything worked fine, except I had to use the head unit to control everything.
I then took my car for a service, and asked Honda to check it for me, I told them it was unplugged and why, needless to say, the idiots returned my car after the service saying they fixed the audio controls, the reason it wasn't working was because it was unplugged...idiots.
Anyway, I'm now stuck with the same problem, is there quick way to unplug the audio controls?
Thanks.

Used Car... but problem started a few months after purchase.
Stock headunit, I think it has something to do with the mute button, because when the unit is actually working, and I push "Mute", the entire radio turns off, it doesn't just mute, pushing it again turns the unit back on.
The other buttons, "Audio Control", "Volume" and "Channel" all work 100%, its just the "Mute" button.

It could be a problem with the circuit board. I had a problem with mine that the mute button was stuck in the on position. I had to replace the whole unit to get it to work again. That's probably going to be your easiest fix. Look on the for sale section or ebay. They're everywhere and only take about 15 minutes to replace.
