Audio cut out at high volumes only
Group,
Read a number of threads on this issue -- i believe have an aftermarket Rockford Fosgate deck, 500 watt alpine amp, ten inch sub. The system only cuts out whenever I turn the volume up to mid or high levels. Plays fine with low volume.
Bought a capacitor, will see if that helps. Am in the process of checking connections but thus far things look fine.
Greatly appreciate your time and input.

I'm going to go ahead and say that the amps are probably entering protection mode due to - you guessed it - bad grounding.
Been there, done that, learned the lesson regarding making a solid ground.
If you haven't installed the cap yet, return it and get your money back. If you feel you have a need for a cap, you really need a bigger alternator and/or battery and/or better ground. A cap is a band-aid fix, at best, unless you're doing SPL competitions and need that extra oomph for that initial burp.
