Default Audio install shop?

I'm looking to get an amp, sub, head-unit (w/iPod, xm, aux, dci), and door speakers installed. I have all the equipment but would need all the wiring and sub box. Also considering dynomatting.

Anyone know a place in Riverside (CA) or surrounding area that is good and have worked on S2K's?

I got an estimate at The Audio Shoppe off Merrill St. in Riverside. They want $1,500. That's a little more than I want to spend.

...and I started off thinking I only wanted speakers...

I can do the head-unit and door speakers. What I can't do is the amp (and wiring) and sub box. I'd rather have it done proper otherwise I would have got a Bazooka tube and called it a day.

If you can wire your door speakers....thats 90% of it. By far the hardest part of the whole job. And even thats not so bad if you simply follow the advise given on this forum. BIG HINT, use romex house wire to thread through the grommet. I tried everything else and really struggled with it on the drivers door. The next day when I did the passenger side, it took me all of 15 minutes using romex...well that and theres not all the wiring harnesses in the way.

Anyway, all the rest of the wiring is easy. For the amp and sub there are people right here that can help with that. DarkKnight and WLaurent both make excellent sub enclosures designed specifically for S2k's, and PAS2kNut has 2 choices of amp racks he can make for you....check the group buy forum. With all the money you'll save doing it yourself you can buy a new exhaust or some other nice mod.

Where in So Cal are you SerpentineGX? I can show you how to wire the doors and the amp. It's really fairly easy once you know what to do. PM me when you get a chance.

I'm in Riverside. I just might take you up on that. Do you like NewCastle? Let me figure out what box, amp rack, and parts (wiring, tools, etc...) I'll need. It's the wiring of the amp to the battery that's getting me freaked. Never put wire through the fire wall before so it's all new to me.
