Default Auto up windows when alarm arms

So my question is pretty much what the title says. I installed a Hornet alarm (727) this weekend and I also installed the one touch auto up/down window module from DEI (530t). The alarm has the option, as many alarms do, to hook the windows to the alarm so that when you arm it, it rolls the windows up. I have the window module on the "factory" setting which is a very low load setting but Im still concerned that since I arm the alarm every time I get out of the car that this will bring my window motors to a quick death. Does anyone have any experiances/opinions about this? The last thing I want is to have my windows take five mins to roll up like some of the older cars out there.

Yeah thats my concern... Even if the windows are up it trys to roll them up again untill it sees enough load to stop. I have the aux channel too but its only a momentary pulse, so I would need a timed relay to get the windows to go up or down with that.

its no worse than the oem auto down when you put the top down.

Seriously, sometimes I will roll my windows up or down several times during a trip to the store or work.

The auto up senses load. So as soon as the window reaches the top the motor will stop.

The only real downside with the auto up/down window module from DEI (530t) is that all window control functions will be routed through the module from now on. If for some reason the fuse blows on the module (and you dont know how to take apart the door to access the module and change the fuse) your windows will be stuck like that until you can take it to the shop who installed it for them to fix it.

I am an installer and I have this module and I love it. It converts your window swtiches to one touch Up and Down for both passenger and driver windows.

Moving to the Electronics forum. The EJ's will know more about aftermarket alarm systems.

Grand master cracks me up... if you blow a fuse yes it sucks , but you Def. don't have to go in the door to get the modual. You can mount this under the dash where it's accessable , if your a good installer and not lazy you'll run wires to the outside of the door under the dash for the drivers window , the pass wires are already outside of the door to run to the pass door... sounds confusing but its good. Also you can "time" how long a accessory lasts for on DEI alarms so set the time and you'll be good.
