Default Bass shakers and heat

I just installed Aura bass shakers (the 50 watt type) in the S2000, along with the 100 watt amp made by aura. Is it normal for them to get very warm?

for those who are considering them, they provide some benefits, but I'm not sure I'd do it again. If they gave a bit more benefit, then I'd like them much more.

It's a large motor sinking a significant amount of power...expect some heat.

Where did you mount them? I put mine in the map pocket, but from experience know they give more feeling if attached to the seat bottom. Eventually I'm going to purchase another pait and put them underneath.

Anbody had issues with a bass shaker mounted on the bottom of the passenger seat upsetting an interchanger mounted in the same place?

I followed modifry's advice and mounted them to the floor. I know there's less shake than if I mounted them to the seats, but the sound is more like real bass this way. It sounds better, but the effect is somewhat reduced I'm sure. Some songs sound really good. Other times it's almost but not quite enough.

But I have the doors sealed up really well, with dyns in the doors and kick panels. Sounds much better than I ever expected it to.
