If I stil had my s2k it would have a JL12w7 (new ones) in it... but since I have a Rover I am going with 2 12w3s pushed by a PPI 2100watt amp

is it true that you don't have to have a larger sub (12"), but rather you could go smaller and still get great sounds from a properly designed enclosure? I work at a place called Purist Audio Design. We mainly deal in cables, but my supervisors also make equip and stuff in their spare time. They keep preaching to me, I don't know why you want such a large driver, when you can get a small driver to give you great bass too. Just design the enclosure properly.

I want clean bass, but I want a lil thump too, nothing earth-shattering, but I want to enjoy my predominately rap-based music.

digital disigns makes great subs and they are the loudest if your going for strong deep bass, but they are very very expensive

dollar for dollar the Diamond Audio HEX 12" is the best. Its a honeycomb Kevlar cone with 1500 RMS and Xmax of 24 or 26

Its a monster of a sub

It is funny how no one has mentioned the best solo speaker of them all....

Kick L7 DVC..... 750 watts per VC They are square,,, but that just means that they have more surface area....

All you need is one believe me....

I had two in my civic HB and I blew out the back window and spider cracked the front......

The best thing is that they only need .8-1.2 for a box... perfect for the S2k.

If you have any questions pm me....

I still have two ... but I am getting rid of the civic and they are going with it......

I hate to say this but,,, I am too old for all that bass.

two L 7 wired down to 1 ohm.. taken in almost 2,000 watts dammmmmmnnnnnnnnn
