Ok, I have a 02 HU and have the lucid rear speaker (kenwoods) set up and I also changed the front speakers. I am happy with sound quality (I am not a sound enthusiast). I just want more bass, but am on a huge budget (saving money for turbo installation).

Here is my question, please no flames: I want to know if I could just throw a 8 inch bazooka tube behind my seat. I dont want to get a new HU amp etc. I am not looking for a huge difference. I want to keep this as cheap as possible. Would the tube work?

HAHAHAH... .....bazooka tube behind your seat? Have you ever looked back there??? Seriously tho....no way is a bazooka goin anywhere INSIDE the car. Get either a bazooka or an infinity basslink and toss it in the trunk.

yeah, a Bazooka is a pretty large item to expect to get behind your seat... i'm guessing you MIGHT be able to get an 8" one back there if you had your seat in the most forward position... and that's a big MIGHT.

i'm afraid the trunk is pretty much your only option. and i'd suggest looking into a 10" Bazooka over an 8" for the trunk.

still, if you're not a big sound nut and just want a bit of bass - a Bazooka is a nice cheap solution. i'd do it over the Basslink, as the Bazooka's are way more efficient and that massive port gives you a lot more bass for your buck.

Here is an option that I thought sounded good for a budget installation:

Before getting my system I considered another type of powered sub installed in the trunk well but I never really took it very far. Maybe some others would have suggestions for a powered sub.
