It should I have the DMX V1 for my 2003 s2000, it works beautifully. You have the correct one for an 08. This video will show you how to get in there. It took me all of 10 minutes to install mine. Be careful when pulling the door/ac panel off, nice and easy will do.

I have the audiobaxics one for my 03 alot cheaper for a ap1 I guess 39.99, works great in cdc mode I also bought a Bluetooth audio reciver so I can run wirelessly. Love it.

Does anyone know why the v.2 has a male and female connector rather than just a male connector of the v.1?

I suspect the female connector is to allow you to retain the optional XM satellite radio receiver if installed.
