Car Immobilizer
For those who have swap out their ecu and replace it with another OEM ECU, how did you bypass the immobilizer? Or how did you reprogrammed the key with the new ECU and if you did it at a dealership how much was it; or if it was a private company what was the price?
Im turning back stock but I sold my stock ECU a long time ago and I no longer have one but I bought a different one for it, so was wondering what's the cheapest price to get a key reprogrammed.
A-Allied Locksmith charged 195 if it works and 79 for the trip if it doesn't work
another company is going to charge 350 for a key
Thanks

Shouldn't cost much, especially if you already have keys. I would NOT pay more than $150-175 because I don't believe it's a big deal. I don't know what others have paid though.
I just got my done today. I have an 02 and swap to 07 engine and tranny. Car started and ran good for a week and die out. Couldn't start it at all. Chokes out real bad. Tow it to Honda and they reprogrammed my 02 ECU and it cost me $154.
