Default Clarion installation question

Hey all,

I was thinking about getting Clarion's MP3 playing head unit (DXZ815MP I think). The question I have is what type of adapter (I'd rather not splice a bunch of wires if I can help it) will I need to plug this in, and where can I get it?

I'm also thinking of hooking up rear speakers like lucid.

Thanks

Whatever you do, don't cut/splice wires. If you have problems, there is no way to go back to the original configuration. Honda will void the warranty on the stereo and maybe anything else associated with that harness. I had a problem with the mute button going out. Honda fixed it under warranty because I was able to replace the factory stereo with no visibile signs of modification.

I believe it is a '00 Accord harness adapter will work. Someone please verify this.

Yes, its the standard 98' and above Honda harness. If you want to keep your dash controls you can get the harness and a SWI-3 through Pinky. If you are inclined you can do the work yourself though. The wiring harness itself is less than $20.
