Thumbs up Component speaker question

Heya guys,

I recently got some component speakers, I was wondering if i connect the mid range speaker directly to the HU without the cross over, would it cause damage to the speaker?

I don't know where i can mount the tweeter yet, Anyone got some good sugesstions? (ive seen a few done on this forum, im looking for somthing that doesn't require cutting or drilling of any sort.)

Also does anyone have a 10w6 installed? how does it sound? and how do you have to box set up?

Thanks,

I don't understand why you would want to do that. Why not just use the supplied crossover? Even if the woofer could survive with no dmage using no x-over, you will need to crossover the tweeter, so why not do both?

If you don't want to drill anything, get you a set of 02+ door pannels.

I can build you a set of these for the tweeters and you can leave the doors alone.
The finished color and textrue is very close to stock.

There are a few different styles:

The tweeter mounts are $250 + shipping.

As for doing the work and sending them to Australia,.... but, I can do it. I honestly didn't notice that you where from Australia. Building the tweeter pods and shipping them to you is easy. I just need the tweeters to do it though... but that's fairly cheap shipping wise.

Now the sub box is totally different... The weight alone kinda makes it not the best choice, only because of the weight though.
