Couldn't wait any longer...
I have been looking for suitable components to upgrade the factory sound system. After much research and second guessing, I've finally took the plunge.
I've placed order for the following equipment: Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 (6.5" 2 way components), Alpine MRV-T757 (75Wx2 RMS at 12V, 100Wx2 RMS at 14V) They will be install by more experienced hands than mine.
Any comments or suggestion regarding this combination or speaker placement? If you don't think I should use these, too late, I've already order them.

If an installer cuts into your car to install the tweeters, keep the following in mind:
A-Pillar covers are $27 each
A replacement dash board runs $340.
Replacement door panels run $399 each.
Many folks have tried different speaker positions on their cars. They've even posted pictures of the installs. Execute a search and you will be rewarded.
Which deck did you buy? If you are using the stock deck with your amps don't expect too much.

Redhead,
I'm glad you finally picked out your system. I finished installing mine, and it sounds much better. Right now I'm working on deadening my trunk area. Been trying to fix the rattle caused by too much bass in the trunk. If I turn it to a moderate level than it's fine. Even though it sounds alright, I'm returning the amp, speakers, and sub. I'm actually getting better equipment using less money. What a strange paradox.
Btw, how's the alarm?

One "warning note" about the purchasing of new pieces (since I have personally replaced my dash and A-pillar covers":
Those prices include ONLY the visible shell of each piece...
EVERY trim piece comes ala carte: Complete A-pillar cover assemblies ACTUALLY require A-pillar trim, venting duct, and two screws. So $27 actually gets bigger if you required the whole assembly.
Complete dash ACTUALLY = Dash, 6 screw clip threads, 2 brackets, numerour screws, etc...
When you purchase replacement pieces, typically all the extra pieces can be reused but just be sure to save them all.
A comparision, I purchased several dashes for my previous winter car (actually 4)... a '97 Chevy Cavalier and the dash for $260 included ALL hardware, brackets, covers, etc... One part # included all...
So, to summarize: When ordering ALL Honda parts, keep in mind that usually it means ONLY the part the number points to...
