Default Crossover Mounting Location

I have to run 2 sets of wires from the doors to the trunk (where the amp is mounted) regardless since I'm bi-amping the components, so I was curious to hear some reasons on why I should mount the crossovers in the door or in the trunk.

I was originally leaning towards the trunk, but may now reconsider.

Are there some things to consider when determining the place to mount the crossovers?

The cross-overs are safer in the trunk. You can also get to them if you need to.

If you're running the speakers off an amplifier, I'd mount the crossovers in the trunk.

I mounted my crossovers in the doors, but only because I'm using the head unit to power the speakers.

Mine are in the doors, but I am using the OEM speakers leads and running the speakers from the HU. If I add an amp I will probably rewire and move the crossovers.
