Crystal Component Install Help
First let me preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing when it comes to car audio, as your about to find out...
Okay, So I got a set of Crystal Cpe50 Component speakers to go along with my Spods, and I have absolutely no idea how to do the wiring. I'm leaving to drive home from ATL to NY next week and I really like to have these things going for the drive. PLEASE can one of you audio Guru's give me a detailed guide to setting these damn things up.
1. Where exactly do you mount the crossovers? My random guess would be on the metal plate behind each seat? This is totally a guess because to be honest I don't even know what the hell crossovers do.
2. Okay now for the wiring. So I have a set of wires coming down from both the woofer and the tweeter, a pair behind each seat, Where do they go from there? Can someone give me a detailed path from the HU to the speakers complete with exactly where each wire goes.
3. The crossover is marked with:
Amplifier input + and -
Woofer +(flat) +(something?) and -
Tweeter +(flat) +(something?) and -
which wires go where?
And yes I did a search, I've seriously done like 5 hours worth of searches cause I honestly can't believe that these things don't come with any instruction at all. and there's not a single website out there that actually explains how to do this.
