Default Dead Radio

Turned the car on yesterday and no radio. CD doesn't work, nothing. Checked the fuse and it's ok. Even disconnected the battery then reconnected it. Still dead. It's weird that a radio would die so soon in a new car. Anyone else have this problem?

I believe there are 3 fuses that control the HU. You need to check them all.

So which fuse did you check? #9, #23 and #24 all are used in the audio system.

Most people only check #23.

#9 is almost always the culprit.

My owner's manual says that the radio is fuse #19 in the interior fuse box. It says #23 and 24 are for the right and left power window.

... aahhh the accessory socket. Interesting. We were at the track over the weekend and I was using the accessory socket for my tire pump. Filled up my tires with air and then started using it to pump up my son's tires too. After one tire was done, I went to another tire and the pump didn't work. I figured the pump broke because it's just a cheap $20 air pump. Hmmm... perhaps it blew a fuse.

Thanks! The accessory socket is #5 on the AP2. I'll check it out.

I'm sure that's it. Note that it is an "accessory" socket not a lighter socket so current is limited. Probably won't run your air pump.

Hmmm.. what are my options for using my air pump. Is there a way to do it without blowing a fuse?

Put alligator clips on the airpump and clip them directly to the battery.
