Default Decent HU?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1134701297638

Best Buy has this listed for $129. At this price, I could actually afford to the get some of the add-ons but seriously, is it a decent HU to simply replace the factory HU? The S is simply my DD. Costmetically, I like the look of this unit much better than some of the newer Alpine units but that is subjective, I know.

Thanks,
Tom

Should be fine.

Go check it out in person to see if you like the layout, can read the screen, etc.

Its not a bad deck but it is two or three years old. I would make sure its not a demo or referb. The add ons like sat radio and Ipod or fading out as well at least at my work they are.

What is the current trend, USB ports? I'm leaning that way more myself.

I was hoping to check with modifry to see if they are comopatible with his DCI controllers, but his site is currently down due to temporary technical difficulties until November 10.

Smurf2k, I want it to look "right" and I agree with your assessment about the blending.

I have the 9856, works great with Ipod and the dci... but I like the display on the 9857 much more. When I bought mine, the 9857 was $100 more so I didn't go for it.

Kenwood makes some great USB decks like the KDCX592 and they have a Bluetooth with ipod and Usb option as well the KDCBT838U. Check those out.

I am currently running the 9857 and it is fine, but just do not like the fact that I can not change the color of the lights(only blue). I'm thinking about switching to the Nakamichi CD400.
