Deciding between 3 component sets...
Ok guys... asking for your input once again!
Took your advice and am selling the 3-way JL Audios... and after further research have decided to go with either Infinity or Polk. I already have an Infinity Perfect 10VQ, so the Perfect 6.1's would match (this doesn't matter to me on an aesthetic level, just sound)
Both of them have good ratings...
Looking at 3 sets as follows...
Infinity Perfect 6.1 (Most expensive of the 3, not significant though)
Polk DB6500
Polk MMC6500 (Slightly more expensive than the DB6500)
So, by your experience... any opinions? I'm confident all will sound good, just lookin' for a nudge... because I'm indecisive. Arrgh!

I like the Perfects, although my listening experience with them is pretty limited.
I don't like the DB's, the Alpine Type-S are better than those in my opinion.
I have no listened to the MMCs.
When I put the S2K system together I was looking at lower end components because it wasn't worth it to me (I've spent way too much on other cars, audio wasn't a top concern for the S2K, I just wanted to hear it with the top down
). Because of this, I didn't spend much time listening to the new perfects and no time with the MMCs after I doubt the DB's to be disappointing..
I'm sure others will chime in

The db6500's are VERY bright. I ended up adding a 8 ohm resistor in series with the tweeter to bring the level down to something more reasonable. The db6500's are also somewhat lacking in mid-bass frequencies.
Some good points: pretty decent low bass (spec'd to 35 Hz) and high sensitivity (92 db) which are important when running without an separate amp or sub.
My system consists of a Alpine 9856 and a pair of db6500 (with the series resistors) and Modifry's DCI installed in a '05. This is a huge improvement over the stock system, but not 'audiophile' grade by any means.

I had DB in my truck before and they sounded greats !!
Never heard MMC6500 before but I do heard negative comments about them, they look nice though.
If you can find a pair of MM6, that's what you should go for. They're the earlier version of the Momo and so far the best Polk I've ever heard. Tested mine the other day and dam those tweeters scream!!!!
My friend used to have Infinity Perfect 6.9 in his car and its sounded pretty clean & accurate. I like them a lot too.
Which ever choice you choose, Infinity or Polk, I think they're both good speakers for what you pays for. But since you have alread had a Infinity Sub, I say go with Infinity Pefect 6.1
