anyone have issues grounding their V1?
what did you use for a ground... i'm trying to find a good place to ground my v1.. in the past, there was plenty of space to get to the ground where all the other wires are, but it's blocked on the '08 (it was easy to get to on the '01 and '05). The diy faq worked in the past but now it's impossible to get to.
I was going to use the dome light but the cable is too short for the remote kit so i'm stuck trying to use a ground under the dash (but not sure which one to use)


any help would be great....

 

Did you try the ground point thats somewhere up there by the fusebox? Its hard for me to describe, but in my '06 there is a grounding point somewhere right above the latch to open the hood.

Thats where I grounded mine.

Same here. Maybe that's the grounding point that the OP says is blocked on the 08? It's certainly not easy to get to on the 06 but I've managed to ground 2 different things there.

 

I agree look down by the fusebox...I would look more specifically look around the clutch pedal...I believe I grounded mine a little to the left and above the clutch pedal...there should be a nice bolt there that's right on metal
