i forgot what thread i put it in, but i am installing a 10 inch woofer in the passenger footwell. unfortunately with the show in vegas this last week, everything has been pushed back. my car is going in in about 10 days, i ll post pics as soon as i can. this is the only way i have seen bass inside an s2000. i have seen many with woofers in the trunk, but i believe that is wasted energy.

docofmind, I think you're right. A 10" in the footwell will sound like 2x12" in the trunk. I'm thinking of installing a 10" in the footwell as well. The installer says the decrease in leg room will be similar to installing petals in the passenger side.

Actually, it will take even less space then that. the sub that i am using is a unique design for minimul airspace. it has the magnet on the front. said it wont decrease leg room more than 3 inches max. sub i believe runs around 250 though. like i said, i ll post pics as soon as i can.

I originally was going to put a sub in the middle storage compartment there is plenty of room and you dont sacrafice trunk space plus you wont get rattle. You can actually cut the inside storage bin from the top and fit a sealed enclosure covered with plexiglass then put the windscreen top back on. In the end though I went with a high end competition component set of front speakers. It does not give you that thumping bass that most music enthusiasts (like myself) want, but it is a major improvement over the stock and most retail brand crap. However, after coming from an SUV I accepted the fact that I did not buy an S2000 for stereo perfomance but for engine performance. If you want to know more specs on what I was going to do send me a pm.

Just wanted to bring this back to the top? Doofmind, ever get the passenger footwell sub done. My audio guy says the same thing would work with minimal loss of footspace. He's an incredible installer, but I just don't know about this. Would love to see some pictures.
