Default Driver side tweeter not working properly

Hi guys,

I just had my Polk components installed by a friend from bestbuy and there seems to be a problem with the driver side tweeter.

I have a pioneer HU and also a Rockford Fosgate p4004 running my components and my 1 12" infinity sub.

The best way for me to describe my problem is to say the tweeter on the driver side isn't as loud or as crisp with playing the higher frequencies.

If I put my hand over the driver side tweeter, there isn't much difference in the sound very subtle. But if I put my hand over the passenger side tweeter the sound is changed drastically, everything just seems muffled.

I know for a fact that the tweeter is putting out sound, but it doesnt't seem to be putting out any of the higher frequencies.

I took my car back to the guy that installed it and he said he didn't know what it was, he thought maybe reverse polarity @ first, but that didnt seem to be the case.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Swap the tweeters and see if the problem moves with the speaker. It could be the amp, the speaker, the HU, the x-over, etc.
