ebrake - top
That is a loaded question.
I would strongly recommend leaving the e-brake control intact. What if you are riding with your friend on the Interstate with the top down, and he accidentally hits the "top up" button......kiss your soft top good bye.
I would recommend by-passing the speed indicator instead. This will allow you to put the top down while moving (not recommended at any real speed). All you will have to do is click the e-brake up 1 click (the pads are not even engaged at that point, but the ground contact as been made).
If you absolutely want to by-pass the e-brake control, you just remove the center console. You will see the e-brake. There will be 2 metal contacts. When the e-brake is engaged, these contacts are touching (I think this grounds a signal). You can just run a wire from the e-brake contact to the other contact so they are permanently touching. I believe this will leave the e-brake light on at all times, though.
Once again, I recommend by-passing the speed sensor, and just clicking the e-brake up 1 click. Wisconsin S2k wrote up something on how to do this.....check in the FAQ. If its not there, just PM him.
