Default ASL

Hello,

Anybody know how this pioneer ASL compares to the DCI speed-controlled volume feature?
Do you hear the "steps" with the DCI? Is the ASL more gradual?

I have tried both with my DEHP80MP:

DCI speed-controlled volume -- works great. I can't say whether the steps are noticable because my HU beeps upon remote operations and there does not appear to be any way to turn that off. It was so annoying that I ended up turning it off even though I really liked the volume changes. I would be thrilled to have this working even if the steps were noticable.

ASL -- can't really tell whether its working. That might mean that it works poorly, or is so gradual that its hard to 'catch', or perhaps the S is just so noisy that its always triggered! I left it on to get whatever benefit it gives.
