Eclipse CD7100 radio control
I have a CD7100. I purchased the PAC and mute relay from Lucid. Reading the e-iserv.j website I am not sure if I need to use the PAC, if I can use it, and if not using it will allow the mute function (the function I want most). Eclipse allows the downloading of a file to run some Honda steering wheel controls, but it doesn't specify whether the S2000 has the right control. Anyone been through this with a newer Eclipse HU?
Thanks,
Ken

Very few people use PAC here. Our pal Modify builds his DCI that actually adds more functionality to the dash controls than the original factory functions. For $99 and being the size of a matchbook, it's worth it.
I've had the modifry product. I don't want the cord sticking out.
My questions is, do I need the PAC given the new direct wire and software from Eclipse? Eclipse website is not clear as to which cars the software will make the controls work. Refers to Honda in general.
Surely someone with newere eclipse headunit has looked into this.
Thanks!

Turns out PAC says their unit (hard wired) is not compatible with CD7100. Calls to Eclipse on how to use the hardwrie opiton with software was not useful. They don't know how to do it. Anyone hard wire radio controls with an Eclipse 7100?
Thanks!

UPDATE
Wired steering wire 1 to the S2000 control wire. With the software download it works, sort of. You can control the volume, ch moves channels or tracks up, mode moves them down. Can't move between functions with the mode. Can't scan. And, ofcourse, can't mute.
Would love it if someone would device a non-ir solution.
