Default EJs: Need advice on the Infinity Basslink

I'm going to be upgrading my system next week and I already know what I'm going to get for the headunit and speakers. I'm going to purchase an Alpine deck, iPod cable, wired DCI and Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5 Component speakers. I'm also going to purchase an amp which is good for the Kappas, most likely Infinity as well.

This is where I need help. I don't really want to purchase a WLaurent box because of the price, and also because I'll have to purchase another amp and seperate sub for that as well. And one option is getting a box built, but I want to see if these two subs work good in the S2000:

Infinity Basslink T:
I heard pretty good reviews of this one, but the only problem is seeing where it would fit. I want to see if it'll fit towards the back of the S2000 trunk. The good thing about this is that it is very thin, so I don't think fitting it will be a problem if it has enough room in the back of the trunk. And don't look at the price, because I can get this brand new for $180.

Infinity Basslink:
I've also heard good reviews about this, and it fits perfectly in the middle or the side of the S2000 trunk. I don't want to go with the Basslink 2 because I heard it's a lot worse than this one. And this one I get for $125 brand new.

Any opinions will be greatly appreciated!

If you put the Basslink T in the back you'd probably have it firing forward, which is not ideal.

I run a Basslink X (the white/clear version of the normal basslink) and it works fine IMO. I have mine in the middle on top of the tools velcroed to the tool cover.

It won't provide a lot of bass, but helps fill in the sound some, but if you are really looking for a good amount of bass, you may want to look elsewhere.

When I meant back, I meant closer towards the spare tire, facing the rear bumper. Is this what you understood? As for the bass amount, I'm not looking for crazy thumps, just something to sound clean. I also want to be able to hear it if I'm driving with the top down? What do you think?

I would just spare yourself the trouble, and just get darkknight's box. Fits a lot better, hits a lot harder, and doesnt take up half your trunk.

I second the DK box. I got mine last week and it hits HARD. I haven't even pushed it at all yet either. Very pleased with it. Plus it looks cool and with the cover he makes doesn't sacrifice too much trunk usability.

Don't do it. Half a$$ solution if you ask me.

Plenty of options out there - Check with Darkknight, if he does not have what suits you he will guide you in the proper direction.
