sigh.

now it looks like it's not just lost... but lost lost.

no record of my order at all -- but they sure do have my money, and have had my money for almost 2 months now...

Ben's on it, but i'm having to generate some major documentation (i don't blame them for that...) to prove my order. they're trying my CC company now.

initially it looks like my order number is the same as another guy's... and that he may have gotten an e8a that he never wanted... don't know for sure yet. Ben's trying to contact him.

once we get it sorted out, they're planning to ship one out via 3-day... (why not 2? or overnight? - sigh... $$ i'm guessing.)

doh! well at least proving it is easy (credit card statement). sucks you have to wait a few more days. i actually received mine in 3 days (via UPS ground) Iowa -> Virginia, so 3 days might be a little faster but not by much.

I'm assuming they didn't send the order to you then?

no. doesn't look like it was sent. in fact, they don't seem to even have a record of my name or address. i'm not sure how they charged my card w/o it though. as far as i gathered from Ben -- i didn't exist. *sigh* teach me to not immediately ask for a tracking number.... ("no..." he says to himself, "UPS is so slow, it won't matter anyway... " )

good point William... can you PM me your addy. i really wanted to hold that puppy in my hand for a few minutes before tossing it in, but now that the opportunity has arisen...
given your concerns about the mounting holes (also expressed by others on the eD forum), it probably isn't a bad idea.

do you always use screws? what about bolts w/ T-nuts or barb nuts?

grill solution?

well something hit me tonite while working on my sub box. the lip on this driver is almost 3/4 inch, so when it's mounted, it will stick out quite a bit. i'm thinking of placing a second 3/4inch mdf baffle on my box with a cutout the size of the outer diameter of the speaker. so the speaker is flush with the top of the box.

that free's up the grill limitations for me, i can use pretty much anyone out there.

of course this doesn't help you guys, but i think william is working out something for you
