Default EPS Problem

Hi everyone,

My EPS problem is a bit weird and it is the same for 3 years now. In my country we couldn't find solution.

So here it goes;

The EPS light turns on if i start the car in cold weather, when i turn on and off the ignition it doesn't go away. Strange thing is when the engine temp becomes average and i restart the car it goes off!

Then, when i understeer it goes on again, in track if i touch the curbs, it comes on again. If i hit a pothole, it comes on again. It is not going worse or anything and the pattern is always the same. Especially in winter or in track it becomes a real big problem and i want to solve it now. Please help

Note: The car is AP1 so no VSA

Very simply, you have a sensor issue. I cant remember the name exactly but there is like a torque angle sensor or steering angle sensor that monitors driver input. You need to bring it to a shop that has a Scan Tool. It will allow the technician to access the EPS module for any trouble codes. From there, you will have your answer.
