i just bought a new radar from a s2ki member it was BNI when i received it. for some reason it is not working properly. i have tried many things.

the problems:

1. my K band always goes off by automatic doors, i thought its the X band that suppose to go off

2. when i do receive any signal it usually goes off late or weak, ex: it picked up only 20ft away from a cop and 2 K band bars

3. i had four cops pass me by and it never went off

is there something im suppose to do to program it, because the manual says its plug and play

Some automatic doors could be on K band.

Some cops drive around with their radar off.

If you are concerned, you could send it into Escort. Instructions are on their website. I just had them go through mine as it was giving a calibration error on start-up. It took them about 3 weeks to get it back to me. But it was only $45 or $65 to have them repair it.

 

Agreed. Most/Many automatic doors are now K band, some are exceptionally powerful! Run city mode FWIW

There are several cop radar gun systems. Some have a variable pulsing that is a PITA.

Many cops now run with it off and just POP when they want a hit. In fact, I've found CHP packs with alternating on and off vehicles to trip up people. I like lazy cops with it full on.

Run it for a couple of weeks and see if you get a broader range of hits. Also check to see if all the bands are enabled. Run it on pro mode to see each different source and frequency.
