Default Extra bass

I am looking for a little more bass without a sub. I have an alpine head unit, mb quart qsd216, jl 300/2. They sound great and have good bass, my wife says to much, they vibrate the doors. I was wondering if it would make sense to put an add on woofer behind the seats. Mb quart makes a speaker like that. I also have a pair of boston pro 5.25's sitting around. Would they work and can you just add the driver and not the tweets? I am wasting my time doing this. I hear people putting speakers behind their seats and have trouble with the soundstage, that is what i am trying to avoid by just adding a driver. Thanks

Jay

Try dynamatting the whole door first and see if that makes the bass more enjoyable for you. The difference was amazing in my car when going from no dynamat to the whole door done.

if you have a band-pass crossover, do it.

bass shakers under the seats adds tons of bass feel that will go far to sell the low end to you and your passengers
