Default A few Cluster lights out

I didn't know where else to put this so I thought here would be ok? I have some "lights" out in my gauge cluster.... First 3 bars on my fuel gauge and and first two on my temperature gauge. I've had it apart already but don't see any bulbs for it like I thought might be there. Anyone have any clue on how to fix this? I found threads about dash lights etc but didn't see anything about the lights in the cluster. Am I just screwed or? Thanks for any help!

I've never had my dash apart, but my understanding is that they are replaceable incandescent light
bulbs, but with plastic bases, so maybe it was not obvious when you had the dash apart...

I was just preparing to start a new thread for something very similar.

On my radio control side, the start buttom bulb is out, and the words "MODE PUSH" don't illuminate any more. Also, the rear fog light switch doesn't light up (US cars have the cruise control button there). The bulb that shows that the switch is activated works, just not the illumunation. The start button bulb is pretty clear on the parts diagram, but i can't figure out which bulb to get for the "MODE PUSH" illumation, and the rear fog lights/cruise control illumination switch. Anyone can help?

RWDlover, your are definitely bulbs. Been there done that already. There's a thread on the bulbs you need on here somewhere, should be easy to find and I think it's in the link oth posted above. However, I had the cluster down to nothing and I think the ones I have out are lcd lights that can't be fixed without a new digital screen

The fuel and temperature gauges are part of the cluster LCD and are not lit by individual bulbs. If you are noticing that bars are not lighting up on those gauges, that would indicate to me that your LCD is failing. Another possibility is that there is an obstruction or misalignment between the LCD and lens that could cause those portions of your cluster to appear dim.

Yea I'd say I'll be going Qube in my case.... Anyways the lights you have out? When you take those items out if the dash you'll see a cover over each one. The bulbs are behind the cover and literally just twist in

The most definitive source is Qube Engineering (Google).Look at his install instructions and you will find all the info you need to remove and replace bulbs. Helm Manual is useless. His products are second to none if you want to upgrade this area of your car.

Utah,,,,,,running full blue QE upgrades installed on my girl Electra.
