Fine Tuning My System
Hey guys.
I have a great system installed now. Infinity perfects in front, and Lucid's kenwood 3-ways in back with a Cadence 4 channel amp and that Clarion head unit with the (sorta) pretty LCD.
But here's the problem: I'm constantly adjusting the EQ settings on the Clarion. It's a total pain, too, because they've hidden away even the basic bass/treble controls under about six layers of on screen menus!
In the S2000, I go from pretty low volumes when the top is up and I'm going slow to super-loud when the top is down and I'm going 80. Consequently, I have to create a whole bunch of EQ profiles to handle these extremes. It's a total pain.
Ideally, I'd like an intelligent black box that will adjust the midrange/bass profile as the system gets louder. Aren't there some smart post-processors that do this kind of thing? If that's not available, I'd prefer a nice standalone EQ that I can adjust without going through on screen menus. Has anyone thought about where to put it and which kind to get?
I just want to be able to turn it all the way up without having to make adjustments!!
