Default Good Replacement Speakers

My last car had a factory upgraded audio system (by Bose) and it was great. It seems like the S2k i brought home today doesn't have as great of a sound system. What are a good set of speakers I can swap the stockers for that aren't too expensive?

Also, when changing headunits, is it possible to maintain radio controls on the dash?

1. some alpine coaxis arn't bad upgrades. you will need new brackets for these so if you click my sig I have a section that will show you how to make them.

2. yes there is a way to keep the dash controls with a DCI(dash control interface) look in the maketplace for them although people have not herd from the maker for about a week and a half now.

Polk db6500's are nice and do not require any modifications. I just finished putting mine in. I am assuming you have a newer S2K with the separate tweeters, otherwise I would try the Polk db650 coaxial 6.5".
