Default Head unit-Will it blend?

First, yes I searched and did not see anything regarding this style of headunit...

So to the question, will this style headunit fit in an s2000 with possibly little to no cutting needed??

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13208_...-4360.html#tabs

The dimensions are : 14.1 x 9.4 x 3.9 inches

Thanks...

Style is the KEY word here...and the headunit was just an example. A simple no would have sufficed...

But thank you anyways...

It won't work with no cutting, but you may want to take the radio out and have a look and take some measurements. It may not be terribly hard to fab a mount for it using a dremel, a drill, a few hours, and a few pieces of bent aluminum.

I'd take it out and give it some thought if you're serious about the idea.

Standard size single din head units only. Even some of the more advanced ones will be too long for the radio door to close.

If you want features like the unit you listed, have you looked at a KD-ADV38? I had one; fit just about right, with some minor trimming to the head unit's plastic trim clip.

PS. And it works with the Modifry DCI

I did look at that JVC unit, but I was just curious if the in between size/shape like the example I posted would be feasible with minor modifications...I could not find the exact dimensions of the s2000 radio slot, so I wasn't sure if it would fit anyways...

The S2000 is single DIN that body is single DIN but the screen almost looks like its double DIN and definitely wont fit

Well, basically, you need a head unit that has a faceplate the same size (slightly bigger in reality) as the head unit chassis. I remember seeing dimensions somewhere before for a few different ones. Try digging around the stereo websites like crutchfield. Really though, if it looks bigger than this: http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/products/...5KDADV49-o.jpeg It won't fit. This is basically the max. size faceplate you can get for the S.

Even then, the current JVC 77 with the full touchscreen is too long to close the radio door.
