Headunit that does not interfere with the door
Hey guys,
I am in the market to purchase a new headunit for my S2k. I've been on this forum for a while and there are obviously many options to pick up. My main two priorities when picking up a new UI are:
1. Quality of the product
2. It does not interfere with the door
I am okay with stretching my budget to $350 for the perfect one, but I just need to know which to get. People have praised DEH-80PRS but upon a quick search, someone posted that this also rubs against the door.
Thanks in advance.

Generally the only headunits that have a real problem are ones with folding/motorized faceplates.
The original Alpine IDA headunit had some issues with the enormous knob sticking out too far, but
people were able to deal with it by shaving the door and/or moving the headunit further back by
expanding the holes in the mounting brackets with a Dremel. I've heard far fewer complaints about
the newer IDA's. Adjusting the brackets should work fine for most headunits where there is an issue.

I am not 100% certain of the fit, as I have not had an S2000 in a few years with an aftermarket head unit. It does not seem that the knobs would interfere at all, as they are quite short All that aside, I would highly recommend the Kenwood BT555U. I have it in my EP3 and I love it. It is very easy to use, has front USB, and 24 different colors for the display. The display was actually the main reason I purchased it, as the orange/amber is almost a perfect match for the amber of the interior in my EP3 hatch. It also has bluetooth which I do not use, but would if I had a second iPod to run for music. Picked it up for $130 at my local audio shop.
I can post a pic tomorrow if you wanna see the color range.
Just my two cents Hope that helps.
