for $700? installed or no?

if not installed - i'd shoot for $300 for a headunit, $200 for your kicker components, and $200 for a decent 2 channel amp. that's more than i'd like to spend on the headunit, but will provide you a good foundation for adding a sub.

Well....based on the info you gave us, I would just stick to kicker everything. Helix amps are money thrown in the trash if you keep the stock HU. You will have to be really careful about your work in regards to splicing wires....and If a shop does it...they usually charge for tedious work more than needbe. I mean the best and most common advice you will heard from everyone here is that the HU is the most powerful tool in a system. Everything runf off of it. The way I tell my friends is....You can take crap, pump it through a 5000 dollar amp, and out of 100000dollar speakers....but it is still crap. So....Dont waste money on helix.....and think long and hard about keeping the stock HU.

the Eclipse 3403 is out... Modifry's DCI currently doesn't support Eclipse, though rumors are it might soon...

still b0mbrman makes a good point... just make sure that the DCI supports the head unit and that the head unit has an IR remote.

honestly - after having the DCI, i can't bear the concept of going back to the super limited functions that the OEM setup offers.

details on DCI
