I want to test my V1 direct wire power adapter to make sure it isn't dead. Any way I can do this? I have verified my detector is operation with the lighter adapter. Connecting the red cable and grounding the black doesn't give me power when the car is on. I have verified that the cables are connected in the right places. Thanks for the help everyone

 

What are you using for power?? Also do you have a good ground connection to the body of the car?

 

You nailed it, the clamping job was poorly done (oops) The wire wasn't actually touching the female connector. All is going fine now. Thanks again!
