well i just want to be able to use my ipod in the car.. but i don want to use fm transmitter or anything like that but i wana hook it up directly to the head unit. i've seen headunits with aux inputs and i heard you can get a cable and plug in into it. and then there are ipod-ready stuff..

but my goal is to be able to play the ipod by hooking up with headunit directly in the cheapest way. i don need sub or speakers or crazy features and sound quality.. just wana hook it up..

If you have a 2002 I'm not sure if your stock deck will allow you to add the Honda ipod interface. However, you're better off getting a new deck with an ipod interface so that you can control the ipod and read the titles from the deck.

I believe they make one for your 2002 stock stereo with an Ipod conector.

my buddy tried that same unit with my 02 Headunit bc i have aftermarket and blitzsafe wouldn't work, just so u know.

 

so this blitzsafe didnt work with 02 stock headunit?

 

Just get an Alpine 9856 or 9857 and be done with it. Not only can you have your IPOD rocking, but youll improve the sound. You can also get the new IPOD only alpine headunit, but thats a bit more expensive.
