hrm.... amp turn on lead's will generally draw on the order of .1 amps or less (if i recall correctly) generally speaking though... even if it's 1 amp (it isn't), you shouldn't be blowing the fuse.

something isn't right. go back and double check all your connections.

this fuse is blowing for a reason... you shouldn't have a 10 amp draw on that fuse unless there's something else in that circuit you've not mentioned. don't upsize the fuse as of this point.
thx for all ur help

i truly appreciate it, after being on here for a while, i realize the crowd in general are very mature to enthusiast of all levels, unlike some of the local forums where they would just take every oppurtunity to bash.

i'll look it up tomorwo because i know that the remote going to the kenwood amp (existing amp that's hooked on the accesory) is also hooked onto another thing beside it, i think it's the ext. amp something

i'll check tomrorow, thanks again

alright i checked it out today and heres how they're wired for now

the accesory power is connected to three things, the red wire (acc. pwr to deck), power control, and ext. amp control of the kenwood amp.

When i also add in the remote from my rockford amp to the acc. power, the fuse blows

when i hook up the rockford remote wire to the power control in the harness for the deck, it doesn't work

can anybody help?

i'm thinking of unsawdering the power control from my kenwood amp and putting it on the power control wire (blue/whtie) of the deck, along with the remote wire from the rockford

would this solve the probleM?

plzz help as i am going insane!!

alright the system is alright now

we ended up hooking the remote to illumination since further testing shows that the remote wire leading out from deck harness is malfunctional

thx for all the help

oh no problem... we bash sometimes... but it's usually deserved due to terrible questions or in response to bad advice.

your solution has me confused -- you're tying into the illumination wire? so? your amps only work w/ the headlights on?

i'm now confused on how this is working at all....
