Default Help with Viper 5902 alarm system

hey can any one help me.. i have a viper 5902 alarm system, and the antenna sign on the remote keeps going off every 30 sec. which i think is killing the battery on the remote.. i go through like 2AAA batteries in a mo.

also on a side note.. my warning always goes off.. i think it maybe to sensitive.. so i keep the car alarm in valet mode all the time. i have the prox meter and tilt sensor.

heres a video of wat im talking about.

video

the antenna sign is loc on the top left side corner.

I belive those things have a receiver and transmit sign for each. so i would check which one its doing. if its receiving something from the alarm it can be the prox set too high?

Thats not a 5902. The 5902 has a rechargeable battery. It looks like the 5002 that you have and yes the battery goes very fast on them. The blinking antenna is normal. Get rid of the prox sensor to eliminate false alarms. Or at least have a on/off switch added to that sensor.

thanks, after looking at the owners man.. it says viper model 5000. i was under the impression it was the 5902. also has the 520T back up battery.

im going to try and lower the prox sensor, through the adjustment. just didnt want to turn it to low.. cuz i want it to have some type of barrier protection.
