How do you personally adjust the fade control

Top down at 80-85mph, I've got the volume at 26-29 depending on the song, and the fader set to +3. Balance is 0. Bass is 3. Treble is 6.
I have no problems with hearing the music. I actually am in the minority in saying that I actually like the S2000 stereo. It really isn't that bad. I have my TL to compare to, and honestly the S2000 doesn't fair too badly when compared with the stock setup in my TL.

everyone has their opinion but to be honest you're the first person i've heard that didn't think it sounded that bad. i can't believe the tl's stereo is apparently that bad!
My S2000 is brand new and when I turned the stereo on I am sure it was playing for the first time ever. Does anyone think that the S2000's stereo needs to be broken in a little bit like most other stereo components?

Its not great, but then it really isn't that bad either. Bad would be the stereo in my buddies Civic with its whopping 4 speakers and pitiful sound quality and volume.
My uncle's 3.2TT has the optional Bose system, and he's ridden extensively in mine - he said that there was an obvious difference but that the S2000 stereo was still usable top down at 90mph.
I think when it comes to OEM stereos, it's safe to say the Japanese in general are leaps and bounds ahead of most American car manufacturers....if you don't believe me go sit in a BMW or Caddy and then go sit in a Lexus with the Mark Levinston system.
However the s2000 and NSX seem to be not in that group since both cars do have lousy stereos - I guess a lot depends on what your criteria is but for me I'm quite picky!
For proper imaging we need to look no further than audiphile home speaker systems. It's always 2 speakers and both are positioned IN FRONT of you listener....you never want rear speakers. I think those roll bar speakers are nothing more than a novelty...
A good stereo system only needs one set of nice components properly installed an a high quality amp. That is all I have in my s2000 and the sound is incredible....it will play at any volume level with no distortion.
I've done 120 mph top down and it sounds as good as my bro's Lexus Mark Levinston system
All about proper setup!
