It is possible, but to do it using the S2000's trunk well, you'd need to use a 10" woofer to leave enough room next to the woofer for the port.

Building a good ported box is much more difficult than a sealed enclosure, as port lengths and diameters must be tuned not only to the size of the box but the T/S parameters of the sub itself.

Just stick with a solid sealed enclosure like Bing's or the JL Stealthbox, and you'll be happy.

I just did the first part of my install this weekend. I have a JL12W6 in a sealed enclosure and that is enough for me. I am running a old PG MS2125 amp.

I also have a set of 1" JL tweets in the doors and Kenwood KFC-1377's behind the rear seats. All new 14 gauge wire has been ran and the speakers inside the car is powered with an amp now. Sounds 100% better with a amp running the rear speakers.

I will post pics later, but the install is not finished yet. I plan on mounting the sub flush with the trunk and placing 2 5" LCD monitors in the visors with a PS2 in the trunk.

Monitors should be in within a week. The custom sub box will take longer but this is enough for me.
