The OEM radio is mounted with the four screws and two brackets on the left and right side into the headunit compartment.

I took the brackets off the OEM radio to see if they would fit on my new Pioneer headunit and they did not. How will I be able to secure the Pioneer HU into the radio compartment?

 

The unit should have came with similar right angle brackets. When I purchased my S it already had a crapy sony unit so i swapped it for a pioneer as well. I reused the right angle brackets used to secure it on the left and right side. How close are the OE radio brackets to fitting? Can they be modified to fit if you dont have what you need?

 

Which head unit? The brackets should fit.

 

Ok, I got it. There was a aluminum sleeve around the radio covering the holes where the screws go. Thanks!
